SYNOPSIS:
LACKLUSTER SYNDROME  is the story of addiction, obsession and disenchantment.
Brad (Carl Anthony Tramon) is on house arrest for his involvement in an accident, which
incidentally caused him to become dependant on pain killers.  To add insult to injury, he is
in a stagnant, unsatisfying,  relationship with a cold bitch named Tanya (Ursula
Taherian).  As a result, Brad is trapped in a lackluster existence, snared by the confines
of pain.  When his girlfriend leaves town for a few days, Brad sees this as an
opportunity for egress from his reality, a self imposed slump, and becomes involved with
Sarah (Ricketta Butler), the mysterious girl who routinely jogs by his apartment.

Brad’s plan is simple, escape from reality for a few days with a no strings attached fling
while popping Dr. Feel-Goods and hope that everything works itself out in the end…
However, things get out of control when Tanya returns and Brad is unable to end things
with Sarah as reality spirals out of control.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Lackluster Syndrome is a surreal thriller which marks the feature debut of director
Franqui Guerrero.  This thriller draws its influence from the obsessions and paranoia we
nestle deep within our psyches.  It is also the first feature film from TWO FOR FLINCHING
PRODUCTIONS.  The movie was filmed on location in and around the Metropolitan
Washington DC area.

This film is also one of the first films in what has been called the AMERICAN NEW
WAVE.  The movement consists of film makers who believe there is a market for new
and exciting films which do not adhere to a formula, or the confines of marketing plans.
The theme of the movement is that the story is the medium, not the format it was shot on.
